GERMANY
ETN is a non-profit organisation with its seat in Strasbourg and a secretariat in Hannover. Informally the Network was set up in 1991 in Erfurt and founded as an International Association after Alsacian law in 1993 under the auspices of the Council of Europe as the Carrier Network for the European Textile Routes in the frame of the Council of Europe´s Cultural Itineraries programme.

Burg Giebichenstein Fachhochschule für Kunst und Design, Halle (German)
Die Burg Giebichenstein Hochschule für Kunst und Design Halle hat sich aus der Tradition einer staatlichen Handwerker- und Kunstgewerbeschule zu einer modernen Kunst- und Designhochschule mit universitärem Status entwickelt. Sie hat heute zwei Fachbereiche, Kunst und Design, an denen insgesamt über 1000 Studierende aus über 20 verschiedenen Ländern studieren.
